Arapawa island is located in the Marlborough Sounds, at the northern end of the South Island of New Zealand.

It is seperated from the mainland by Queen Charlotte Sound to the north and Tory Channel (along which the Interislander ferry from Wellington passes on its way to Picton) to the south.

Below the map are some photographs taken in February, 1999, when Andy and myself spent a (rather grey) day and night out camping on my little piece of the island (called a 'section' in New Zealand). Click on the 'thumbnail' image or caption to display a full-sized version of the photograph.
