After a few months of casual looking, and a few weeks of serious looking, we ended up winning the tender on the very first house we deemed suitable. A 'closed tender' process is the norm for low- to mid-range house buying here and we beat our nearest rival by a mere NZ$500 - skin-of-the-teeth stuff! Photos to follow once we actually move in (September). Sweet!
